One-off project modelled on historic mansion
June 2009
Yet another ‘one-of-a-kind’ challenge for Amos craftsmen is under way at Wetley Rocks in the Staffordshire Moorlands.
The company has begun work on an imposing seven-bedroom manor house closely modelled on Birdsgrove House, a Grade II Listed Victorian mansion which stands beside the River Dove near Ashbourne.
The new house, which is being built for a private client, will incorporate extensive stonework including mullioned windows.
“This is another example how we are prepared to take on some of the most demanding projects which include high levels of craftsman skills such as working in natural stone,’ said an Amos spokesman.
